MINI HAUL: H&M, ASOS & RENATE

Happy Sunday!
Today's post is a little retail update: Uni stress often ends in online and window shopping, and this little collection of beauty, accessory and fashion bits is K's mini haul from the past month or so - read on to see what she got!

ASOS

I think I can speak for both of us when I say that ASOS is a go-to when we're looking for some retail therapy. With so many products and brands to choose from, we can easily spend ages on the site. Plus, student discount doesn't hurt either! I managed to control my spendy ways and only purchased a few bits - including some things I'd been wanting to get for a while.

I've been wanting to get my hands on one of the Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate nude collection lipsticks ever since they were released back in the summer and saw everyone raving about them. I was torn between either shade 43 or 45, but chose the latter due to the more pink-toned base. The formulation is moisturising on the lips and lasts well, although it will need topping up throughout the day.

I know I'm a little late to the fluffy pom-pom charm trend, but I couldn't not get this when I saw it! I've been needing a new charm for my keys as I'm constantly losing them in my Mary Poppins-esque bag so I thought this Skinny Dip fluffy charm would be perfect! It's a little larger than I expected, but I love it! I use it both on my keys or my bag depending on what I'm wearing.

I've heard great things about Elegant Touch press-on nails, and have been wanting to try out some for a while now, so took the plunge and purchased them. I got these ones in a dark purple/navy colour, and they're matte, which I love. I'm yet to try them, but will keep you updated on how I find them!

H&M

This week, H&M opened their new store (which is now the largest in the UK!) in Cardiff St David's 2 with a launch event and 20% off everything, so we couldn't resist popping in. Now housing the brand's new beauty line and homeware, we picked up a few pieces each: look out for S' buys in a post soon. Also, how great are the bags they used for the launch?!

Since I'm a self-confessed jumper obsessive, I couldn't leave this rib-knit one. It's super oversized and comfy - perfect for winter days. It has a zip on one side too which adds a little detail to the generally baggy look.

We've heard so many good things about H&M's beauty launch from the autumn, and were so happy to hear it would be stocked in Cardiff! I had a quick browse of the beauty area of the store, but will be back to have more of a look when it's less busy! I picked up this powder blusher in Golden Peach after swatching it - it's a beautiful light pink with a slight glittery sheen. It's not super bold, but is buildable, but with a shimmery blush like this, I think that 'less is more'.

RENATE
Local boutique Renate (in Morgan Arcade, Cardiff) celebrated their first birthday this week with a lovely event (thank you for inviting us!) and a chance to shop with 20% off everything. With brands including Just Female, Minimum and gorgeous jewellery brand From St Xavier, it was hard not to want to buy everything!

My student budget allowed a small purchase and I couldn't resist trying something from newly-stocked Herbivore Botanicals, an ethical and organic beauty brand. This blood orange lip butter smells absolutely gorgeous, using only natural oils and made with Shea butter that keeps your lips soft and moisturised for hours. Will definitely be looking to get something else from this brand sometime soon - it's well worth the price tag!

Does anyone else shop when they're feeling stressed? Please tell us we're not the only ones!
Check back tomorrow for our Month on Instagram for November, and then we're into December! We can't wait for a well-deserved break at home and getting into the Christmas spirit.

LATE SUMMER DREAMING: House Decor

For today's post we're introducing this month's theme. Around this time each year as the summer season is near its change, we always begin to think about decor and creating a new look for our living spaces. As we are still in University, we always feel that September is more of a new beginning for us than January, and with S moving into a new house and K creating spaces to call her own, this is a first look into our current decor inspiration and style. So here are some of our favourite interior styles paired with items from our wish list.

Office
Office decor has become very popular as of late. An office can be one of your most personal rooms in the home; it's a space that you don't have to share, meaning that you can truly go wild with your personal style and taste. We love being able to personalise an office space with a gallery wall full of photos and a light up letter for the table. We also love this lamp from John Lewis, but for a cheaper option, Tiger also sell a similar one.

Bedroom
We feel that your bedroom is one of the places in a house (especially if you're sharing!) that you can truly make your own, so go for it! Let your style and tastes shine through in your decor choice: little details can say as much as bold items too, like these gorgeous string lights combined with the wooden ladder.
Throw: Asda,    Lights: The Little House Shop,    Mirror: H&M,    Faux Sheepskin Rug: IKEA,    Plant Stand: IKEA

Kitchen
We feel that the kitchen is well and truly the heart of the home; it's where you probably spend most of your time, either cooking an easy weekday meal or having friends over for a weekend takeaway, so it needs to feel loved with its decor. A trend that we're falling head over heels for lately is copper and rose gold and we couldn't resist adding a bit of this colour in our kitchen.

Bathroom
For some, a bathroom can be a room of escape and relaxation, so choose items that will suit your needs! We love neutral tones for a bathroom, but our tip is to choose a colour and stick to it. We've chosen these copper accessories for storage (this basket is a firm favourite), and the green in the aloe adds a pop of natural colour.
Basket: H&M,        Revitalise Candle: Chloe Jane Candle Co,       Vase: H&M,       Aloe Plant: Ikea,       Candle Holder: H&M

We had so much fun creating this post today: it's clear to see that we LOVE home interiors, so check out more of our home inspiration on our Pinterest board!  Remember to follow us on Twitter & Instagram too!

See you Sunday

SUMMER BEAUTY FAVOURITES

Today at Eleven Oh Seven we're talking beauty! We always find ourselves customising our make up bag to the current season, whether it's dusting off brighter lip colours or using a lighter foundation. We can safely say that the start of this season has been no different, so today have decided to share with you our beauty favourites for this season.

S' Favourites

Gimme Brow - Benefit
I am aware that I'm late on the Gimme Brow product hype, but as I felt that my brows needed a little help to keep shape during the day, I decided to try Benefit's Gimme Brow. This product has been exactly what I've been looking for it keeps my eyebrows in shape all day and adds depth to the brow, making it perfect for any time of the year.

Lipstick 210 Coral in Gold - Rimmel
A bright lip for summer? Shocker! But I, like others love to experiment more with my lip colour during the summer months. This season I'm loving this orange coloured lipstick from Rimmel called 210 Coral in gold. It's on trend and goes perfectly with my gold/bronzed eyes. During the summer months I also like to wear a brighter pink colour lip for a more bold look.

Oatifix Face Mask - Lush
During recent weeks I have noticed my face feeling a little bit more dry. I'm not sure whether it's products I've previously used or the warmer weather, but I decided to use a hydrating face mask. I tried one of the natural face masks from Lush called Oatifix. I can safely say that I am in love with this product and have highly felt the benefits: my skin feels hydrated and very nearly back to it's previous condition after only two weeks of using it! The natural ingredients are soothing on the skin and definitely adds a glow.

Micellar Cleansing Water - Garnier
As I mentioned above about my skin recently, I also decided to stop using make up wipes and begin removing my make up with this Garnier Micellar cleansing water. I find that this product has helped restore the natural hydration in my skin and easily takes off my make up with out damaging my skin.

Naked 3 Palette - Urban Decay
Ever since receiving the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette for Christmas I've been obsessed with it! It's perfect for any occasion: for day to day subtle looks or a more dramatic evening look. For summer I tend to use more of the gold bronze colours for a more glowing look for the lighter and warmer evenings. If I haven't already talked about the Naked 3 palette before on the blog, (then where have I been?!) the colours are very pigmented and last all day. Plus with the help of primer the eye shadow doesn't crease which is great during the summer months when the weather is hotter.

K's Favourites

Dry Shampoo - Batiste
This is an all-year must-have for me, but in the summer on hot days or when you just want an extra bit of texture and volume in your hair, this product works wonders. It's so quick and easy to use, it makes your hair look great in-between washes.

Face Form - Sleek Make Up
This contour-and-blush kit (I purchased the kit in the shade Light) is so gorgeous for summer, containing contour powder, highlight and a beautiful shimmery pink blush. All three are super pigmented, but still look natural for a subtle contour.

Anti-Age Under Eye Concealer - Maybelline
After hearing so many rave reviews about this product I thought I'd give it a go, and I wasn't disappointed! The spongy applicator helps apply the concealer evenly, and it has brilliant coverage without feeling heavy on my skin. On good skin days in the summer, this product will be enough to use under the eyes and on a few blemishes without wearing foundation too.

Healthy Mix Serum - Bourjois Paris
This gel based foundation is perfect for the summer as it feels a lot lighter on the skin than a regular liquid foundation. The formulation glides on the skin beautifully and gives a medium coverage, slightly glowy look, as well as smelling gorgeous and fruity. The product boasts to last for 16 hours, but I haven't found that, as I have combination/oily skin. However using a primer and setting powder does give you that extra staying power.

Coconut & Pear Hydrating Lip Balm - Burt's Bees
I'm a huge Burt's Bees fan, from their moisturisers to body lotions, all the products I've tried are amazing! I own a fair few of the lip balms in the range, but this coconut and pear product is my favourite for the summer season - it really does hydrate your lips and keep them smelling sweet.

Vanilla & Saffron Body Lotion - Liz Earle
Surprise, surprise, Liz Earle makes another appearance in a favourites post! I was so happy that Liz extended her range to include body wash and lotions as I knew they'd be good quality, much like the rest of her products! With vanilla being one of my favourite scents, this saffron and vanilla infusion lotion was a no-brainer for me, and I love it. It's a gorgeous sweet smell that lasts and leaves your skin feeling super soft.
