Fashion Week Round Up: London and Paris Edition

Hello Everyone,
Fashion month has flown by so quickly, it's been hard to keep up with a round up for each city! But as September has come to a close we thought we would talk about our favourite shows from both the London and Parish fashion weeks (yes, this is us trying our best to make up for our absence last Sunday).

London Fashion Week: Burberry

Burberry never fails to disappoint! It's been my favourite designer for years and was even my inspiration for studying fashion at degree level. I always find myself looking to Burberry for inspiration and motivation: my dissertation was even written about the brand, so it's safe to say that Burberry is that one show I look forward to season after season. This year Burberry unveiled their first ever 'see-now' 'buy-now' collection, this created so much hype surrounding the show.  To allow customers to buy the runway collection as they see it is pure genius.
The show itself brought to life the collection and identity of the brand. The live music at the show composed exclusively for Burberry created a theatrical, show-stopping atmosphere. The clothes themselves were as always beautiful: the detailing in the jackets and coats and styling of each outfit well and truly projects the craftsmanship behind the clothes. Once again Burberry created a magical show that embraced all things British.

Paris Fashion Week: Valentino

With so many amazing shows at PFW, it was so hard for me to pick just one - but the definite stand-out for me (so far) had to be Valentino. (Zuhair Murad, Isabel Marant and Elie Saab were close contenders!)
Full of gorgeous, bright colours, a mix of silhouettes and of course, embroidery, this collection kept it's roots with references to the brand's Italian history and craftsmanship. The collection was inspired by Hieronymus Bosch's painting The Garden of Earthly Delights, and I think many will agree by saying this was shown through in the gorgeous range of pieces on show. I personally love the more classic Valentino looks like the delicate dresses shown - the detail of the embroidery and sheer materials gives that essence of Italian romanticism at its finest!

Have you been able to keep up with all things Fashion Month?! We're definitely looking forward to the Chanel show on Tuesday. What have been your favourites so far?!

NYFW: Our Street Style Favourites

Hello everyone!

September is here, meaning one thing for fashion-lovers everywhere: it's the month for fashion weeks across the globe. Starting in New York, on to London, then Milan and Paris, we can't wait to see what next season's trends will be!  This week, it all kicked off with NYFW and while we're still obsessing over all the collections (check back next week for our NYFW show favourites!), we've also been coveting the ultra-cool street style. See our favourites below.

I love everything about this outfit, even down to the choice of sunglasses. The white frilled top tucked into a printed short creates a clean crisp outfit white the black lace up boots adds some edge to the outfit. I can't wait to re-create this outfit!

This outfit screams fashion week, the way that each element of the outfit is put together is very creative. I adore the blazer: it takes this outfit to another level of 'chic-ness'. I am also currently coveting this style of calf length boot. The striped detail on the boot and blazer ties the accessories and outfit together perfectly.

As you can see from my choices in this post I am loving the colour white. There's something so clean and refreshing about the colour. This ankle length top is very different from the previous white top I have talked about. This top paired with a pair of light wash, straight legged jeans create a casual yet striking outfit.

This outfit is so simply put together, but so bold and I just love it! The green midi-length sweater style dress looks so casual and very 'street style'. The way it's styled with black accessories: backpack, heeled Chelsea boots and round sunglasses makes this outfit look so effortless.

Another casual look to contrast S' tailored street style loves, this outfit is very laid back and casual, but made by the patterned top and accessories. Red nails match in with the splashes of red in the top design, along with the mix of gold and silver jewellery. As for the bold orange sunglasses: who couldn't love them?!

I adore this outfit that Jamie Chung wore to the Cushnie et Ochs show this week. The patterned pleated skirt layered under the subtly cut-out black blouse and paired with black accessories is so understated but creates a classic and chic look. The metallic sheen to the skirt and the heel of the shoes really adds another element to the outfit.

We love getting fashion and outfit inspiration from street style, and there's nowhere better to find the best street style than at Fashion Week! We hope this post has given you some outfit inspiration too.
