If you read our
last post, you'll have seen that our theme for this month is Summer Celebrations, and today kicks off July with our first post - all about birthdays. Today we'll be sharing some top tips to create the perfect celebration event for a loved one, or yourself (if you're planning-crazy like us!) on a birthday.
Floral Fancy
If you're planning a celebration for a flower-loving girl, a tea party affair will be the perfect set-up. Think pastel tones and plenty of cutesy accessories to decorate your space. Pinterest will be your best friend whilst planning a party, especially with decorating! Learn how to make your own flower garlands
here and floral arrangements and floral photobooth walls are in abundance. Cocktails served in shallow glasses or milk bottles with straws will also add to the cute look.
Neutral Nomad
For the guy or girl who loves to travel, a nomadic inspired event will be the perfect look for a birthday. To suit the theme, an outdoor space would be ideal to home seating areas and canopies. To continue festivities into the evening, prepare your space with lots of candles and lanterns to brighten up seating areas and tables. As a nod to the person you're celebrating's love of travel and making memories, encourage party-goers to bring photographs with them to attach to trees below, making them different focal points of the space. Country-themed tables would also work really well, with decor and food appropriate to a certain place, i.e Italy.
Glitz & Glam
For the girl that loves to party, and has a taste for the finer things in life, a birthday event doesn't mean going to a glitzy location - it's all in the details! Pick a few colours and make that a theme. We personally love gold or platinum teamed with white and a pale pastel option as it keeps the decor light and classy. Glitter will also be essential, either dipping or filling balloons with it, or just dressing the tables with a little sprinkle of sparkle!A photobooth with similar coloured props will work well too, and as an extra touch, ask the guests to come in neutral colours, and have the birthday girl in pink so she stands out!
These birthday ideas are only the start, there's so much more you can do! You can personalise each of these ideas to suit your birthday girl/guy down to the ground, or just keep it generic! Have you planned any birthday events or have any tips for party decor? Let us know on
