Happy Sunday Everyone!
As self confessed
Pinterest addicts (who scroll through the website at least three times a week!) we
are always filled with inspiration, with it being fashion, beauty, food or our personal favourite
at the moment: interiors. Unlike this time last year when we were about to
move into a new student house and able to re-create some ideas we saw on
Pinterest, we're both temporarily living back at home and have no
new space to decorate. (Sigh!) So this post is simply to dream about our personal Pinterest-perfect bedroom styles.
Scandinavian
Inspired
Scandinavian inspired
interiors are one of my favourite aesthetics at the moment. The fresh white
walls, cream and brown printed rugs, accessories with rustic wood and
industrial lighting create a calming, open space. I particularly love the way
the lighting has been created to frame the bed: the focal feature in the
room.
For the
Love of Greys
It was
the colour scheme that fist attracted me to this bedroom. The mix of light and
dark grey with pale pink is to die for. The bed is most defiantly the statement
piece of furniture in the design of the room the high quilted head board
creates a grand feel. The plush bedding and sleek gold accessories surrounding
the bed create a rich and sophisticated room.
A Pop
of Colour
The
white walls and amount of natural light in this room opens it, making it
appear larger. I love how colour has been injected into the room through
accessories including the blue bed frame and multi-coloured tassel bedding and
carpet. The use of colourful accessories against a neutral backdrop creates a fun aesthetic without
being too overwhelming.
Country Cosy
The corner of this bedroom is so natural and cosy. I love the matching coloured wood bed frame, bedside table and mirror contrasted against the white walls, drapes and bedding. The accessories here also bring a natural feel to the room with the silver birch branch being used as a hat stand and the leaves on the bedside table too. Also, how amazing is that huge chunky knit?!
Pink & Grey
Similar to S' For the Love of Greys image above, I am equally obsessed with the pink and grey tones in this bedroom. These colours (in all shades) go so well together and the addition of copper accessories such as the hanging lamp and bedside accessories make this a complete winner in my eyes!
Urban Rustic
Exposed brick is such a gorgeous interior, whether it's a feature wall or the whole room! You can really push the industrial, urban look like in this image with exposed light bulb lighting and black and white decor, but adding a touch of the rustic look with the wooden stool and plank headboard.
Retro Pastels
I love this decor! Although it feels almost too seasonal, I admire the bold colour choices made. The pastel tones complement each other perfectly, and with the amount of natural light in the room just makes them look so pretty and spring-like. I love the use of the yellow around the door-frames and that retro metal bed frame is gorgeous!
